Pics and Pirate Bob

I've been playing with my camera recently and have been taking pictures of things that catch my eye. I'm by no means good at photography (I tend to just point and shoot) and thanks to a good standard digital camera I can get better pictures.

This next one was taken a few days ago as I was leaving home for work. I saw the feather from the lounge window and couldn't resist taking a picture hee hee



Yesterday was my nephews 3rd birthday so we had a party for him. I spent a few hours making swords, pirate hats, a treasure chest, treasure map and telecopes for it and the nephew loved it (even though the attention span of a 3 yr old isn't long LOL) but hopefully he'll get enjoyment from them over time hee hee. I have to admit I think I got more pleasure out of it than anyone else LOL I loved the feeling of being a kid again and making stuff like that :D
Of course photos were taken, but I'm not showing those obviousley. However I will share a particular picture from the party. My nephew loves novelty pyjamas (ie Fireman Sam, Scooby Doo ) and as a birthday gift he was given a new set. I was trying to take a photo of him but as kids do, he kept moving too quickly for me and I ended up with this



The kid loves Bob the Builder (a kids program for those of you that don't know) hence Bob at work hahahahahahahhaha

I love the close-ups of nature--the shell and the feather.

You really have to be on your toes to get good pictures of little kids, because they tend to have the attention span of the average fruit fly. Just keep on shooting, and you'll get some good ones.

Pirates. Yeah, I can definitely see you doing pirates. (Umm, I don't mean it *that* way. I just remember Zee's post about pirate day when you visited once.)

Those are great. It always amazes me how photographers can find such amazing shots in the simplest of places.

Don't sell yourself short, photos need only appeal to you, and if they do then they are fantastic. And I think you're fabulous!

I always get into dress up and costumes and crafty stuff too, sometimes I think I'd be a great kids party planner. I love that stuff!
We can build it yes we can!
